About PyCon Australia

Australia's conference for the Python Programming Community.

PyCon Australia is the national conference for professionals, students and enthusiasts who work with the Python Programming Language.

The third PyCon Australia will be held on August 18-19, 2012 at Wrest Point in Hobart, Tasmania, it features presentations, tutorials and panel sessions by experts and core developers of Python, as well as the libraries and frameworks that you rely on.

The conference activities kick off on Friday August 17, with the CodeWars Tournament pitting teams of developers against each other on the big screen. After the conference are the PyCon Sprints on August 20 and 21, offering a valuable opportunity to shape the future of Python in a face-to-face setting. During the conference, there will be great social events, including the Women in Python Breakfast and the conference dinner cruise and reception at Peppermint Bay.
